Members Provided Comms for the Cheaha Challenge

Bald Rock ARC volunteers set up along the route of the Cheaha Challenge, a bicycle race in Jacksonville, Alabama, providing communications for rider safety and dispatching help where it was needed.

Operators worked from mobile units and handheld transceivers, with several able to reach the Cheaha repeater directly from remote points along the course. It was a rewarding day of public service that put our emergency communications skills to good use.
